Selah: Prayer Journal (“Selah”, “we”, “our”) is designed around a single principle: your prayers are yours, and they stay yours. This policy explains what we do — and, more importantly, what we don’t do.
Your data lives on your devices
Everything you write in Selah is stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, your journal is synced to your personal iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit. We do not operate our own servers, and we cannot see, read, or access the contents of your journal.
What we do not collect
- No account, username, or email address is required.
- No names, phone numbers, or personal identifiers.
- No location, contacts, or browsing data.
- No advertising identifiers and no cross-app tracking.
In-app purchases
Selah offers optional premium features through auto-renewing subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase, processed by Apple’s App Store. To validate and restore your purchases, we use RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous, randomly generated identifier and purchase transaction data. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or the contents of your journal.
Security
You may optionally protect Selah with Face ID / Touch ID, which is handled entirely on-device by Apple’s local authentication. We never receive your biometric data.
Your rights
Your data is always exportable — as CSV, JSON, or Markdown — even without a subscription. Deleting the app removes the local copy of your journal. You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in your device’s App Store settings.
